I just received the 6S version of this in the mail and tested it. In stock form with a 6S 3300 60C battery and a 70 amp ESC it produced 1.7 KG. of thrust at 47A and 1130 watts. This is pretty close to what the advertised specs are. I then installed a 10 blade fan on it and ran it again on 6S. It produced 2.1 KG of thrust using 66A and 1500watts. That is the most powerful 70mm unit I personally have ever tested, using the 10 bladed fan. I have plans to install it in a plane with the 10 blade fan and testing it in the real world. I also tested this with the 10 blade fan and a 5S battery. This puts you back close to the same specs as the 6 bladed fan and a 6S battery. This is a great value for the money, It has a very large and powerful motor on it.
I tested this unit when I received it. I ran it on an Aerostar 70 Amp esc, a 4S 60C 3300Mah. battery, new. I have a home made test stand which I find to be pretty accurate compared to advertised ratings and This is what I found. It pulled 72 Amps, and 1000 Watts and developed 1.6 Kg. of thrust. I have played with lots of combinations and I I find it hard to produce more than 1.6 Kg of thrust unless you are willing to step up to a 6S unit with higher blade count. So I would consider this pretty darned good, especially for the price! I would use an 80 Amp ESC minimum in the plane, by the way. My 70 amp unit was quite warm after testing.
